Who am I
Hi! I am Dillon Tripamer. Recently, I graduated with a Masters of Architecture from Kansas State University. Now, I am working as an architectural designer in Burlington, Vermont. My designs fit the context they are put in so they appear to be in harmony with their surroundings. By doing this, I believe all my designs have inherit value as they add to the overall unity of the site. I am passionate about large scale design projects such as stadiums and arenas, but also think preserving the past is the only way forward in architecture.
Outside of architecture, I work as an archaeologist . Archaeology and world history fascinates me. I love to learn about the history of people and cultures and study all of those who came before. I completed a field school in 2019 in rural Croatia. This led me to working as a professional archaeologist on the great plans of the U.S and for the last two summers I have been working on a site in Greece. There, I have had the opportunity to pursue the intersection of architecture and archaeology, as I researched, calculated, and recreated a 4,000 year old house.
Besides architecture and archaeology, I spend most of my time outside. I love to be active playing whatever sport is available and traveling the globe. I think travelling to new places broadens your horizons as a person and strengthens your inspiration as a designer. It is my hope to find a firm that is committed to pushing design forward, seeking new inspirations daily, but also respecting heritage, sustainability, and fully embracing the constituents of each design.
