Crawford Architects - Architectural Designer
After I returned from my second summer in Greece, I immediately began working at Crawford Architects in Kansas City, Missouri as an architectural designer.  This firm focused on large-scale sport facility projects. I specifically worked on projects for the University of Saint-Thomas, The University of Southern California, Penn State University, and Lumen Field in Seattle.  For the Lumen Field project, I got to be the Project Architect, leading the design charge for 1.2 Million dollar renovation to the main concourse restroom facility. I worked in a wide variety of phases starting with master-planning exercises all the way to helping push out details for a construction document deadline. Below are several renderings I got to work on and specific spaces I designed.
The University of Saint Thomas - Minnesota
While working on a large multi-sport arena for the University of Saint Thomas, I was tasked with designing and rendering the nutrition station and soccer locker rooms. In each of these renderings, I was given a floorplan and had to design out the interiors. Everything from the graphics on the walls to the arched-shape soffit in the locker room, I got to design. I used Revit to build out the spaces and associated families, then used Enscape to export the images, and finally, used photoshop to touch up the images.
The University of Southern California
My area I got to design for the University of Southern California was the team locker rooms. Much like the UST project above, I had just an empty room and had to design the locker families and pick out all of the materials. This interior design focus gave me a tremendous amount of new skills and helped tune my eye for interior design. Using the same process, I exported these images from Revit using Enscape and finalized them using Photoshop.
Penn State University
For this project, I did not do any of the design work, but rather was asked to create high end renderings of the interior spaces for the clients. I went through the Revit model and exported renderings that told the story of each space. Using photoshop, I was then able to give renderings a photo-like quality.
